Wellsburg, West Virginia is located on the small strip of land between PA
& OH referred to as the "Panhandle." Greene County, in the most SW portion
of PA was as close as 30 miles from Wellsburg, W.VA. It is likely that the family of Mary
Margaret WHITE, who's parents Thompson WHITE (1807-1880) +Martha
CURRY
(1811-1840) were born in the same area in PA...but
also moved to Wellsburg, PA....knew Susan (CRAIG) Odenbaugh's family, who came to Hopewell
twp, Washington Co., PA in 1781 as well as the CURRY family and the WHITEs.
Close relatives moving from Wellsburg, W. VA included Franklin and Mary
Margaret (WHITE) Odenbaugh, Dr. Jefferson Odenbaugh (his brother), Hugh WHITE, his
brother-in-law.
