Info from Winchester Court House Records:

Up to 1676 or so Abraham Frye and his son, Abraham lived on Cedar Creek in Frederick Co., Va. This part of Frederick County is now in Shenandoah County.

On 2 June 1767, Abraham Frye and Ann his wife sold 100 acres on Cedar Creek to Jacob Frye for l.100. The deed also mentions Benjamin Frye, who gave the adjoiniong lands to his sons, Joseph and Jacob. The deed is found in Book 11, pg. 425.

On 3 Aug 1768, Abraham Fry and Agnes his wife sold 200 acres, a branch of Hogs Creek to Henry Secrist, for L.200. This deed is found in Book 12, pg.467.

They probably then left the area to go to Washington County. Another source: (McFarland, pg. 1142) mentions they were in Washington County as early as 1768.
