See Elona SMITH's FTM site for George W. FRY descendents   GEORGE W. FRY (JACOB2, CHRISTIAN1)was born 1809 in Green Co., PA, and died 1901. He married KATIE KEPLER in 1833. George moved to Iowa in the Fall of 1839. Geoge and Katie had 13 children - only 7 are named, the rest are unknown at this time. The Children of GEORGE FRY and KATIE KEPLER were: OZIAS FRY, b. 1832, OH.11. ii. VIRGIL FRY, b. 1832, OH iii. MELISSA FRY.12. iv. ISIAH FRY. v. SARAH FRY. vi. AMOS FRY. vii. MARY M. FRY.


1) Some of the FRYs went to Iowa about the same time as their second cousins ODENBAUGHs. It would be interesting to learn if they were in the same area.

Henry married Regina FROMAN settled on farm known as Gibstoton, on the Moon River, below Belle Vernon. Abraham Frye and family located on the opposite side of the river. Owned land from Maple Creel on the outskirts of Charleroi, to Pigeon Creek in Monongahela, from the Moon River, to where Fallowfield township school now stands, except for the Grant and Wickerham Farms, near what is now Fisher Heights.

They came here from their homes in a place 18 miles south of Winchester, Virginia. Abraham Sr. settled near the river and built a home on the portion of land now owned by Carrie Coyle and Dr. A.S. Sickman.
